Faith and Spirituality Student Team (FASST) Organiser (Peer Helper Position)
Volunteer Location: The Faith and Spirituality Centre, University of Calgary
This position engages with students, faculty, and staff across the university campus in aspects of all (non-)faith and spirituality, social action, and community building. Together with the Faith and Spirituality Student Team, the Team Organiser co-hosts interfaith discussion groups and ‘tea time’, attends various campus and community Faith and Spirituality Centre-related events (examples include visits to spiritual spaces or community celebrations or services).

Conference Week Planning Committee Member
Volunteer Location: The Faith and Spirituality Centre, University of Calgary
A planning committee member for the first and second annual Faith and Spirituality Centre’s conference week, entitled, “Pluralism and Religious Diversity Week“, from 23-28 March 2015. This position worked alongside leaders and professionals of the Department of Classics and Religion and the Faith and Spirituality Centre to produce community-building events through organising event details, meeting monthly, promoting and attending events.

JUNE 2012 – APRIL 2015
President of A+ Arts Club, a Students’ Union Club
Volunteer Location: University of Calgary
Co-founder and President of the A+ Arts Club. It is a Students’ Union recognised club, partnered with the Faculty of Arts, at the University of Calgary. The organization works towards: connecting students within and outside of the various departments within the Faculty of Arts, helping Arts students to be confident in their choice in their areas of study, supporting those who are looking for students also within their field, and interacting with various charities and non-profit organizations which relate to the Faculty of Arts. The position oversees the organization as a whole, supports executive actions, and conducts and presides over club meetings. The President(s) manages meeting records and coordinate follow up communications, while meeting separately with executives, thus working alongside the executives to make all matters run smoothly. The President(s) is responsible for smooth operation and running of all club-related meeting, events, and activities.

Vice-President, Communications of The University of Calgary Interfaith Club (UCIC), a Students’ Union Club
Volunteer Location: University of Calgary
Co-founder and VP Promotions of the U of C Interfaith Club. The club promotes diversity, inclusivity, pluralism, and encourages discussion and activism by various individuals of different cultures and traditions in a safe and open environment. The position oversees promotions and publicity of all events and initiatives, acts as the clubs media contact. Also, the role is responsible for maintaining documents containing the philosophy, policies and the views of the membership,creating and maintaining liaison with all levels of media, ensuring press releases are issued on relevant issues and shall bring any requests to the immediate attention of the Executive.

Vice-President, Operations and External Communications of The University of Calgary Pre-Law Society: The Undergraduate Law and Society Association, a Students’ Union Club
Volunteer Location: University of Calgary
The Undergraduate Law and Society Association, a Students’ Union recognised club, prides itself on allowing students who are interested in law to meet, socialise, network with those associated (students/professors/legal professionals) with the field of law. This position has the following responsibilities: to attend the annual club survival seminar, maintain the email, twitter, and other media relations to members, write newsletters, conduct communications for general queries, attend meetings type up all minutes and distribute them to all executive members, attend all events and record attendance as well as event highlights and then distribute the above information to members.
